Big Fun - 2022

When I started this piece, I approached it with a sense of exploration and experimentation. I didn’t have any rigid expectations; my main goals were simply to have fun, explore new mediums and see where the process would take me. As I worked, I allowed myself to be guided by my creative instincts, though I remained mindful of maintaining a somewhat controlled colour palette, staying within the same/similar scheme.

I introduced ink and a gloss medium, which added an element of depth and a dynamism to the piece. The glossy finish and fluid ink markings brought a textural quality to areas of the painting, enhancing its visual impact, and enriching the piece, adding a bright, engaging cohesiveness to the overall composition.
