Molten - 2018

“Molten” is an abstract composition full of rich texture and punchy, deep tones. This piece feel reminiscent of a rocky, almost volcanic landscape, leading you into a new dimension of my artistic exploration and offering a glimpse into a side of my creativity that I haven’t fully revealed before.

In my oeuvre, this work represents a stark departure from my more familiar colour palettes. Here, earthy tones such as deep reds, browns, and blacks dominate, interspersed with lighter more neutral shades of cream, gold, and white. While this piece still retains the essence of my earlier fluid, pareidolia-led approach, there’s a newer, more enigmatic narrative at play, inviting you in to explore the shadowy corners of my imagination. This piece is both intense and evocative; the organic forms create an explosive sense of movement and depth, with an atmosphere that is intriguing and elusive, full of complex layers and velvety, warm, chocolaty tones.
